facts.
senior @ laces
born in gwangju, moved to boston for a private middle school, then transferred to la.
an obvious 1.5 gen korean. he has an accent? lisp? when he speaks english and he doesn't really care to fix it ("it's a charm"). by default, he's fluent in korean and uses that to make fun of his non-korean speaking friends.
a pastor's kid -- he's holy, amen. (sike, he could really care less about the father holy spirit or whatever, but he puts up a good front for his dad. reputation is everything when you're running a church, apparently.)
tattoos & piercings are his signature indicators. his dad scolds him constantly about it, but he makes a point to wear cross related accessories just to spite him.
drives a 2015 jeep wrangler rubicon.
his dad wanted to get him a suburu because fast and efficient! but he just wasn't about that lifemom's side of the family is an mit legacy. regardless of how he feels about it, he's set to attend after graduating high school (but he'll see what happens later).
however, his passion lies with music. he produces his own mixtapes via soundcloud by the name horizon.
despite how he looks and how he acts, his grades are consisted of mostly a's. he doesn't enjoy studying, but he knows that he needs to keep his gpa up to keep his parents off his back.
greasy by nature. he says some questionable things and gives pet names to everyone, but they're just habits at this point. plus, it's really funny to see the reactions he gets out of people.
has a tendency to completely shut down and isolate himself from the world. it's his way to recollect himself and get his emotional level back down. (when he feels like he's getting "too" happy, "too" upset, "too" of anything, he stops himself and brings himself back to the level he considers normal).
emo vibes; has a tendency to keep things bottled in (see: emotionally stunted) because of his weird family relationships.
his dad calls all the shots in the household and expects him to be perfect in every single way possible, but because isaac is everything but, their relationship is now basically nonexistent. in public? his dad will put his arms around him and make sure the world knows they are a good family.
his mom is the only person keeping him from running away. she doesn't stop her husband from having unrealistic expectations, but she makes sure to let isaac know that she's there for him whenever he needs her.
relationships are a bit of a sensitive topic for him due to his last girlfriend.
he does have a tinder (yes, he lies about his age) because the boy has needs, but that is different from trying to start a whole new thing. sleeping around is his way of overcompensating for his insecurities.

ex-girlfriend from boston; the love of his life and apple of his eye
they've known each other since they were in korea. their relationship continued when she flew over to boston as an international student
they went from being best-friends to lovers, which inevitably caused some problems between their relationship
they didn't break up on good terms (too many arguments, another guy, etc), but isaac to this day can't help but to wonder about the 'what if'
chloe reaches out to him every once in a while, to ask how he is doing in an attempt to rekindle their friendship. while isaac can't tell her to stop, he does get visibly upset when she tries to talk to him
